If you do not have enough space or money for a keg system but are tired especially the washing, sterilizing and time required to get your beer, you can create a product that is "in-between" bottling and keg bottle. A simple and inexpensive introduction to kegs states that TAP-A-DRAFT ® system by Sturman BG, LLC made. The system is composed of a screw tap and three 1.5 gallons plastic blue plastic bottles (the same type of plastic bottle, soda ash is produced) and 8-gram CO2 cartridges. TheCO2 cartridges are standard 8-gram food grade disposable CO2 cartridges used to regulate the pressure in the bottle and holds 1.5 gallons carbonated beer.
Be careful not to this 8-gram cartridges for the popular 12-gram cartridge in sporting good stores for BB / air guns found confused. As a beverage is dispensed, the cartridges replace the vacant space in the bottle with CO2. This regulated pressure allows the bottle contents to flow from the tap. A nice head can be formed by relaxingslightly to the faucet. It can also nitrogen cartridges (such as Guinness ™) for your stout.
Several bottles can be purchased so that you can brew a number of different to the hand. I currently have eight bottles in various stages of fermentation and storage. In addition to cost and convenience, I can just 1.5 gallons of beer between my desk at a time. The bottles can be inexpensively replaced when they wear out after about 6-8 uses. Take a small room of about 17 "long and 7" wide andfits well on them from the side on a refrigerator shelf. After the draft beer sitting right there on a shelf in the fridge makes it very easy, a beer that could as both a negative and a positive to be interpreted. The good thing, it is not a few bottles sitting on the counter for all (read: wife) at the end of the evening count.
TAP-A-DRAFT ®, it allows you to force carbonate your beer can or bottle with priming sugar in the TAP-A-DRAFT bottle with the conditionedScrew is then tapped as needed. Forced carbonic lasts 5 to 7 days with 2 CO2 cartridges in the refrigerator. If the drink is ready to drink can be tapped and dispensed from a refrigerator over a period of up to 3 weeks without a home or to destroy it, because no air touches the beverage while the treatment takes place. But what home brewing takes three weeks to finish a gallon and a half of beer?
The makers of TAP-A-DRAFT ® offers one year warranty on parts and labor. I had a problemMine, with the online store I bought it from does not worry about it, but it was the people at Sturman BG safe and I was enjoying a cold beer, straight from my fridge. From a customer service point of view of my experience with Sturman BG was almost as refreshing as the beer I enjoy just as I type. So if you are an avid home brewer or just starting I recommend the purchase of the TAP-A-DRAFT ® system as an excellent alternative to beer kegs. It is a neat and cleanSystem, which the parties may be taken (in a cooler or you can buy a travel sleeve I) still have great results with me, and about $ 60 for all that is needed and it's worth a few extra bottles.
